1. La Casa Azul de Frida Kahlo
This is my favorite place ever, even if I hate Frida Kahlo (she was such a martyr). Being inside this place is being inside herself, just herself not DiegoRiveraAndFrida,CuteCouple thing.
You don't need to be a great fan to appreciate the little details of the museum (also, you don't need to ask an annoying tourist guide for their help).
2. Xochimilco
Maybe the best place to get drunk with your friends at 3:00 p.m. without being judge as a dirty alcoholic.
It might not look as a good idea if you are planning to go on you own, but once you get to know some mexicans this would be a great farewell party for you.
*WARNING: Watch out your tequila shots.
Once you get into the mood (later in yhe night, just when you leave the trajinera from Xochimilco) you need to sing out all your voice hand with some mariachis. It's a once in a lifetime experience.
If your thing is arts here is the heart of them.
With all the kinds of activities such as concerts, expositions and tours Bellas Artes is a beautiful place in an architectural form and also in an intelectual one.
Another good thing from here is that is located at the center of the city so you could maybe eat at some near point or just walk around watching all kind of people, buildings and some traditions.
5. Teotihuacán
Finally you are able to witness the other half of Mexico's culture, our true origins. You might found this place boring at some point buy I dare you to took a tour within it while you think about the next thing:
You might never have visited the las four places I mention without this specific one.
So there are my suggestions, i'm sure they are just a bit of all the things you're going to stop by during your visit (hope you think of me whenever you admire one of this magical places).
Thank you for challenging me in this tour, i'm afraid that it would never be true without your future visit.
Eat some tacos and sing some Pedro Infante's songs.
Nicolle
